Believe it or not, we have already had the pleasure of dealing with some transfers! Therefore, it is our responsibility to make sure that the transfer procedure is followed precisely so that there won’t be any holdups or, even worse, arguments. So, here are the steps to follow to obtain a player transfer:
Obtain a form from our office or from the BCSA website.
Fill out section 1 of the form: Player Information. The Player Registration number can be left blank since we have that information. If, however, the player is coming from another league, it is essential for his Player Registration number to be included. Make sure the player signs the form in the appropriate place.
Fill out section 2: Releasing Team. Make sure an authorized official of the releasing team signs the form.
Fill out section 3: Releasing League. If the releasing league is the VMSL, this section should be omitted. If, on the other hand, the releasing league is not the VMSL, this section must be completed and signed by an authorized league official.
Complete section 4: Accepting Team. Once again, this part must be signed by an authorized official.
Bring the form to the office so that a VMSL official can authorize the transfer by completing section 5.
Bring $15 with you!
If the player is transferring from another team in the VMSL, it is ESSENTIAL that you bring his ID card to the office.
