NOTE TO TEAMS:  Please remember that it is the team's responsibility to check the VMSL website for schedule updates. If the city makes the decision to leave a field open--or to allow user discretion--it is up to the referee to decide whether the field is playable or not. Please DO NOT call us asking if the fields are open or not. 

A field in marginal condition may be available for use on the weekend, depending on the weather and state of the field at the time of inspection. In this case, Parks staff will leave the field OPEN TO USER DISCRETION. In general, if weather and surface conditions improve by the weekend, the field may be suitable for use. However, if the weather deteriorates, or field conditions remain poor (standing water, muddy or mushy playing surface), user groups are expected to show good judgement by not using the field. If poor judgement is exercised by user groups, and field damage occurs, groups may incur fines and this user discretion policy may be changed.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE DRINKING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IS NOT PERMITTED AT SOCCER FIELDS OR AT ANY OTHER PUBLIC PLACES.

THE VMSL HAS BEEN RECEIVING COMPLAINTS FROM VARIOUS DISTRICTS AND/OR MUNICIPALITIES REGARDING THIS MATTER.

TEAMS FOUND GUILTY OF SUCH AN OFFENCE  WILL BE HEAVILY FINED BY THE LEAGUE AND MAY NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE FIELDS ALLOTTED TO THE VMSL.
